30 HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS FROM ACROSS NATION COME TO PITTSBURGH FOR THEOLOGICAL TRAINING, TO SERVE CHURCHES

(Pittsburgh, Pa.) – June 29, 2007 – A record 30 high school students from around the country are arriving today at the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary (RPTS) in Point Breeze to participate in the Seminary’s 3-week Theological Foundations for Youth (TFY) program.
Beginning with a picnic at 6 p.m. followed by a visit to Mt. Washington this evening, students begin the first week (June 29 – July 3) in classroom study under Seminary professors and will visit areas of Pittsburgh.
The second week (July 4 – July 12), break out service groups spread out to churches in various states (including locally) to assist pastors with door-to-door and street evangelism, service projects, and Vacation Bible School.
The third week (July 13 - 17), break out service groups return to the Seminary for more training with professors.
Students are supervised by pastors and seminary graduates and their wives.
