Why is this important?
DAY OF GIVING TESTIMONIALS
“During my studies at the Biblical Counseling Institute at RPTS, God began pushing the Gospel down deeper into my heart and it began to flow then into my own life. I have been on a short break waiting for the next class to start up. In my waiting he has continued to make me fruitful. I am grateful for the work he has been doing and I believe that the counseling taught and offered at RPTS is rooted in our Lord Jesus Christ and his kingdom work. Though I do not feel financially secure, God has given me a desire to partner with others that His work may be furthered. I have been praying for RPTS.” – Mariah Gallagher, RPTS student
“The Pittsburgh Foundation's 2011 Day of Giving was a wonderful opportunity to give to organizations we love. For us, that is the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary (RPTS). Not only is it Joe's school, but it is where we as a family are growing and learning in the very thing that we hold most important in our lives, Christ and His Word. This past year's Day of Giving was a great opportunity to multiply our normal gift. Therefore, we look forward to this year's Day of Giving so that we can continue to support RPTS in it's mission, ‘to educate students who love the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word, equipping pastors for the ministry of the gospel and preparing others in the church for effective service in His kingdom, all within the framework of the historic Reformed faith.’" -Joe, Maggie, and Judah Allyn - RPTS Student
"There are plenty of good reasons to invest in the training of future pastors at RPTS, but here's one more that recently got our attention: Matching funds. That's right, our contribution last year on the RPTS Day of Giving was partially matched by the Pittsburgh Foundation! In my mind, this event is one of the most strategic ways for God's people to prayerfully take part in the discipling of the nations." -Adam Kuehner – RPTS Alum (2011) and Pastor, Southfield RP Church, Michigan.
“With great thanks for the 200+ years of RPTS service preparing men and women for Christian ministry, we were excited to learn that RPTS was taking their place among the regions finest non-profit institutions by participating in the 2011 Pittsburgh Foundation’s Day of Giving. Not only did we support this matching gift event, but my company and business partner also contributed a donation. By supporting RPTS in this way, we see our contributions multiplied and the work of RPTS highlighted in the greater Pittsburgh metropolitan area. We appreciate the Pittsburgh Foundation’s continued support of worthy institutions in our area and we will participate in this event at every possible opportunity.” - Keith and Claudia Wing – RPTS Trustee
“I believe that the ministry of RPTS is a critical one - both to the RPCNA and to the Christian Church more broadly. For years my wife and I have supported the work of RPTS with great enthusiasm. The church needs faithful pastors, who have been trained to minister God's Word. When the opportunity came to give through the Day of Giving, we were eager to take advantage of the opportunity to multiply our annual gift through the Pittsburgh Foundation. The process was very straightforward, and we are glad we participated. In addition to increasing our gift to RPTS, we were able to show the folks at the Foundation what great support the seminary has. We plan to give to RPTS through the Day of Giving again this year, and we hope that many others will join us!” - Dr. and Mrs. Richard Holdeman – RPTS Alum (2005)
